A Change for the Better

On A Change for the Better: Poetry & the Reimagination of Midlife, David speaks to an increasing sense of vulnerability as a key experience of midlife. This vulnerability is not to be turned away from, but inhabited almost as a new faculty of perception.

Using poetry from his fifth book of poetry, Everything Is Waiting for You, David illustrates how we can hold this feeling of vulnerability as a doorway to the next stage of life, a sixth sense that can put us into a new conversation with the world.
