Purple Scapolite - Pamir Mountains, Tajikistan

Purple Scapolite from the Pamir Mountains, Tajikistan

The Pamir Mountains are one of Central Asia’s important gem-producing regions, with a long association with unusual collector minerals and gem materials. Purple scapolite from this area is not commonly available, and natural color-change material from Tajikistan is especially unusual

The material shows a natural color change, shifting from lavender-purple in cooler light to pink, peach-pink, and mauve under warmer light
